Welcome to The Bohemian Bungalow — a living, breathing space where art, beauty, and slow living intertwine.

Hi, I’m Jessica —
This is my corner of the world and I’m glad you are here.
The Bohemian Bungalow is more than a blog — it’s my artistic journal, a sanctuary where life becomes an art form, and where creativity blooms like wet paint dripping onto watercolor paper.
Here, I share musings from my life as a bohemian artist.
I became a bohemian when I was a music photographer in Asheville, North Carolina — chasing songs and moments with my Canon M50 over my shoulder wearing platform heels.
There, among the city lights and golden Appalachian sunsets, I learned to see life through an artist’s lens — raw, beautiful, imperfect, and alive.
The Bohemian Bungalow began when I moved into my dream apartment — a small, sunlit space tucked inside a creaking old Victorian house.
I wanted more than a home; I wanted a sanctuary for my art, my musings, and for anyone else yearning for a slower, richer, more beautiful way of living.
This blog is where I gather my stories, my paintings, my reflections on slow living, style, creativity, and the imperfect beauty of becoming.
Here, you’ll find:
- glimpses into my creative journey as an artist and photographer,
- reflections on living intentionally and savoring the small things,
- and inspiration for building a soulful, artful life — one golden hour at a time.
If you, too, believe that beauty lives in the little things — a favorite sweater, a handwritten letter, a half-finished painting left drying in the afternoon light —
then you’ll feel right at home here.
So make yourself at home — pour a cup of coffee, wander slowly, and stay awhile.
Welcome to The Bohemian Bungalow. 🌸
